Gardening seems like a natural part of who I am.
My college education led me to a 20-year career in the graphic design industry—the latter 15 years spent running my own business. During that time, I became a student of horticulture and garden design. Gradually my pleasant distraction was becoming my main attraction.
After taking classes in 2006 to become a WSU Master Gardener, I briefly worked part-time at a local Vancouver, WA nursery which taught me about the business end of horticulture. Soon I was designing for actual clients. Almost immediately, I branched out to consulting and coaching.
Never in my wildest dreams have I envisioned that work could be so much fun and so immensely satisfying. My avocation has become my vocation where I am part artist, part horticulturist, part teacher. I hope you find my website useful for your own gardening endeavors. And if you need more specific landscaping help, feel free to contact me.
On a personal note ~ I love the Pacific Northwest & Inland Empire where I’ve lived for almost 18 years with Steve Wolfe, who owns Pathfinder Financial Advisors, an independent, fee-only, financial planning firm. And when I’m not gardening or coaching, I love photography, cooking, needle crafts, hiking, and writing.
