This list consists of woody plants with forms that are tree-like or shrub-like. They are, in general, 30′ or taller in height and as wide or wider. For the most part, they are not suitable for very small residential lot situations. However some of these plants are tall, but not so wide and may work on smaller lots. Some of these trees will eventually grow to form a large, high canopy over your house and yard creating dappled shade and a dramatic scale statement for shorter houses. But if you have a smaller situation, please see the other tree lists.

And evergreen means they will retain their leaves or needles for more than one full calendar year. Each leaf/needle won’t last for eternity. Each plant is genetically programed differently, still, evergreen plants will appear to be green or bluish or yellowish or whatever color their leaves are, year-round.
